Reference Monitor System for Mixing and Mastering

CX8

CX8

A 2-way coaxial reference monitor with an inbuilt DSP-controlled amplifier, custom-made and assembled in Berlin.

A linear phase crossover paired with the point source behaviour of the coaxial driver gives a flat phase and frequency response with minimal distortion. The result is a fast, precise system with a realistic stereo image. The symmetric layout and 90° radial dispersion allow both horizontal and vertical setups.

EQ, presets, delay and gain are set from the HM Control app or the built-in touchscreen. Analog XLR, digital AES/EBU and the optional Dante Ultimo module fit the CX8 into any setup.

SX12

SX12 in system configurations

The SX12 turns the CX8 nearfield monitors into a scalable 3-way main system.

A 12″ neodym ultra-low distortion woofer on a DSP-controlled amplifier extends the frequency response and dynamic range of the system. The linear phase crossover matches the CX8 exactly, so phase and frequency response stay linear from 30 Hz upwards.

EQ, presets, delay and gain are set from the HM Control app or the built-in touchscreen, like on the CX8.

HM Control

A monitoring system is several amplifier modules: tops, subs, different series side by side. HM Control ties them into one group and operates them as a single device.

One main EQ, one master, one switch. States are stored as scenes and recalled on every module at once.

Tick, don’t select

The modules you tick form the group. Every command applies to all of them, including mixed setups.

One main EQ for all

One curve for the whole group. The bands go to every module, without maintaining them one by one.

Switch together

Presets and scenes change on all modules at once, instead of module by module, by hand.

1 group · 18 bands per module · 10 Hz – 30 kHz in the graph · 40 × undo
Supported: CX8 · SX12
